This foldable makeup stool is designed for users who need to save space in small apartments or dorm rooms. The seat is covered in a polyester-cotton blend fabric (65% polyester, 35% cotton) in a solid gray color. The padding is 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick recycled foam. The frame is made of tubular steel with a black powder-coated finish to resist rust. The stool has an X-shaped folding mechanism similar to those found on camping stools. When unfolded, the seat height is 17.5 inches (44.5 cm) and the seat diameter is 13 inches (33 cm). When folded, the stool collapses into a flat shape measuring 18 x 14 x 2 inches (45.7 x 35.6 x 5 cm), weighing 4.2 lbs (1.9 kg). The folded stool can be stored under a bed, behind a door, or in a closet. The steel legs have rubber feet for floor protection. The maximum weight capacity is 220 lbs (100 kg). The stool does not include a carrying bag. To unfold, pull the two side frames apart until the locking brackets click into place. To fold, lift the locking tabs and push the frames together. The fabric cover is removable by untying four corner strings. The cover is machine washable in cold water on a gentle cycle, but should be air-dried to prevent shrinkage. This stool is not recommended for uneven surfaces such as grass or gravel. It is for indoor use only. The steel frame will not scratch tile or wood floors when used with the rubber feet. The stool should not be left in a folded position with heavy objects stacked on top, as this may deform the locking mechanism. Routine inspection of the hinge rivets is recommended every 6 months.
