Description
This low profile makeup stool is constructed entirely from natural materials. The frame is made of solid bamboo, finished with a water-based clear sealant. The seat is woven from natural rattan cane, handwoven into a hexagonal pattern. The stool height is 15 inches (38 cm), which is lower than average, making it suitable for low vanity tables (under 28 inches tall) or floor-level mirrors. The seat diameter is 14 inches (35.6 cm). The bamboo frame consists of three legs arranged at 120-degree angles, each leg measuring 1 inch (2.5 cm) in thickness. The legs are joined to the seat rim using mortise-and-tenon joints, without metal screws or nails. The woven rattan surface has small gaps that allow air circulation, preventing moisture buildup. This stool is lightweight, weighing only 3.5 lbs (1.6 kg). The maximum recommended weight capacity is 180 lbs (82 kg) due to the natural rattan’s limited tensile strength. The stool does not have any padding or upholstery. It is intended for occasional use, such as sitting for 15–30 minutes at a time. The rattan seat can be dusted with a soft brush or wiped with a slightly damp cloth. Do not soak the rattan or leave it in humid environments, as this may cause mold or warping. The bamboo frame is naturally resistant to insects but should be kept away from direct water contact. This product is not suitable for homes with very low humidity (below 30%) as bamboo may crack. No assembly required – the stool is one solid piece. Packaging is a recycled cardboard box with no plastic inserts.
